Group B, a threat intelligence from Singapore, has announced that it has found over 100000+ accounts and credentials traded for sale on the dark web last year.
This report shocks as the security of the user’s data is at risk.
The data reveals that 26802 account information was listed on May 2023 alone.
Compared to the historical data, this is the highest-ever data leak of ChatGPT user credentials leaked in the past year.

India ranks at the top with 12632 accounts being compromised.
The data leak is because the employees accidentally leak secrets. Apple and Samsung have banned their employees from not using ChatGPT as it may threaten the company’s data. ChatGPT stores the user’s data and the queries entered to provide swift responses and to produce accurate information.
Group IB has also mentioned that this breach has been made possible by using the infamous Racoon info stealer.
In this case, the Asia-Pacific region is affected most, as most of the stolen credentials are from this region. The report says.
Always change your password frequently to avoid this type of breach and keep your credentials safe. Try to use two-factor authentication.
